ANU Environmental Field School

Students from the Australian National University will visit Mulloon Creek Natural Farms for their annual Environmental Field School, with ANU’s Dr David Freudenberger, Dr Craig Strong, Dr Helen King and Anna Reboli, and TMI’s Research Coordinator Luke Peel.

Day 2 activities will cover soil structure in the soil pit, soil biota (dung beetles, clover and rhizobial bacteria), soil function (water infiltration), soil profiles and depth horizons (hillslope and floodplain profiles, horizon identification, root depth), and a paddock walk comparing hand augered profiles with mechanical profiles.
