The Mulloon Rehydration Initiative is rehabilitating and rehydrating the Mulloon catchment in southern New South Wales and turning a highly eroded creek into a healthy, vibrant ecosystem that captures flood sediments, recycles nutrients and provides valuable habitat. The project spans 23,000 hectares and 50 kms of creek and tributaries and involves 23 landholders and is being rolled out in five stages between 2019 and 2023.
Volunteer activities
Planting native seedlings (trees & shrubs) at an existing hilltop site at ‘Duralla’ where contours and ponds were installed in 2017.
What to bring
Water, hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, gloves, long pants,long sleeved shirts. Supervised kids welcome. Tools & lunch provided. No experience necessary!
